My ride home was included in my recording, how do I trim it off?
Trimming a recording
What you describe sounds like a recording: the track the app captures during your hike. That's different from a route (a pre-set path you can follow). Because the recording continued during your ride home, that section ended up in your recording. Fortunately, you can easily trim it:
- Go to your profile in the app and open the recording.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Trim in the top right.
- Slide the end point back to where your hike ended and save.
The ride home is then trimmed from the recording and your statistics (distance, time) are automatically updated.
Did you mean to edit a route? That works too: open the route and choose Edit on map to move the track, or upload a GPX file with the correct version. See also: A route is incorrect, how do I get it adjusted? in the Routes category.
