Junkerdal nasjonalpark offers a distinct contrast between its lush, limestone-rich valley floors and the stark, windswept alpine plateaus above. Unlike the barren granite landscapes common in other parts of northern Norway, the calcium-rich rock here supports an exceptionally dense and diverse flora.
