My recording stops or misses parts when my screen is off. How do I fix that?
Android pauses WandelWeb to save battery
Is your recording missing parts, or did it stop completely while your phone was in your pocket? On Android this is almost always because the phone paused WandelWeb in the background. That happens when WandelWeb is set to Optimized in the battery settings.
How to fix it:
- Set WandelWeb to Unrestricted. See How do I set WandelWeb to Unrestricted? and the steps for your phone brand in this category.
- Turn off Battery Saver during your hike.
- Give WandelWeb location access all the time (not only while using the app).
- On Motorola: turn off RAM Boost.
On iPhone this doesn't apply: there WandelWeb only needs the location permission Always.
