How do I set WandelWeb to Unrestricted?
The quickest way: via the message in the app
- Start a hike or navigation, so the battery message appears.
- Tap Allow in background.
- Android asks: "Let app always run in background?" Tap Allow.
- Done. The message disappears by itself and your hike starts.
Do you see a list of apps instead of that question? Or do you have an older version of WandelWeb? Then use one of the options below.
Via the general list (works on most phones)
- Search your phone's Settings for Battery optimization.
- At the top it usually says Not optimized. Tap it and choose All apps.
- Find WandelWeb, tap it and choose Don't optimize.
Per phone brand
Menu names differ per brand. This category has steps for Motorola and Google Pixel, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus/OPPO/realme and Huawei/Honor. Can't find something? Use the search bar at the top of Settings and search for battery.
