Choose Your Followers
Select who may see your location. Search by username and send an invitation. They must accept the invitation before they get access.
Set the Duration
Decide how long they get access. From one hour for a short walk to a week for a multi-day trip. Access expires automatically, no worries afterwards.
Start Sharing
Turn on live location when you start walking. Your selected followers get a notification and can follow you on the map from that moment. That simple.
And when you are done? Turn live location off and tracking stops immediately. Or let it stop automatically if you do not move for more than 60 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can someone see my location without me knowing?
Absolutely not. You must explicitly give permission to each person you want to follow you. They must also accept that permission. There is no way someone can secretly view your location.
Does this use a lot of battery?
Live Location Sharing uses the same GPS functionality as route recording or navigation. Battery use is comparable. We optimised it to only send updates when you actually move, which saves battery.
What if I have no internet connection?
You need an internet connection to send location updates. Without a connection, updates are queued and sent as soon as you have coverage again. Your followers then see your last known position.
Can I see who is following me right now?
Yes, you always have a complete overview of who has access to your location, when that access expires, and who is actively looking. Full transparency.
Do I need to keep the app open to share?
No, Live Location Sharing also works when the app runs in the background or your phone is locked. You do not need to keep the app actively open. You do get a notification that you are sharing your location.
Is my location history stored?
No, we only store your last location. No history is kept. As soon as you stop sharing or access expires, your location data is deleted. We place great value on your privacy.
Can I give access to someone without a WandelWeb account?
No, both parties need a WandelWeb account. This is required for secure authentication and to ensure that only your approved contacts can follow you.
