Miedzichowski Park Krajobrazowy offers a landscape dominated by vast, flat pine forests growing on poor, sandy soils, interspersed with peat bogs and small, shallow lakes. Unlike more dramatic post-glacial landscapes in Poland, this park is characterized by its gentle, almost imperceptible elevation changes. Walkers will find themselves on long, straight forestry tracks where the ground is predominantly loose sand, occasionally transitioning to damp, mossy soil near the wetland margins. It is a working forest landscape, where dense timber stands alternate with open clearings and young plantations.

The defining feature of this park is the contrast between the dry, pine-dominated sand dunes and the low-lying, waterlogged depressions. In these wetter pockets, the sandy tracks give way to peat-rich ground, and the vegetation shifts to birch, alder, and marsh shrubs. You will notice how the forest floor changes abruptly from dry lichen and blueberry bushes to thick carpets of sphagnum moss. There are no boardwalks here, so exploring the edges of these boggy areas requires sticking to the established, unpaved forest roads.

This park is generally quiet, with most visitors concentrated around the edges of the larger lakes, leaving the interior forestry tracks largely to forestry workers and occasional berry pickers.
