Łagowsko-Sulęciński Park Krajobrazowy is defined by a deep, glacial trough that cuts through the Lubusz lake district, creating a landscape of steep, forested ravine walls enclosing long, narrow finger lakes. Unlike flatter pine-dominated plains nearby, this park is characterized by dense beech forests that cling to the sharp ridges surrounding Jezioro Łagowskie and Jezioro Trześniowskie. Walking here involves noticeable elevation changes as you navigate the high banks, with the terrain dropping sharply down to the water's edge.

Underfoot, the paths vary from soft leaf litter and exposed beech roots along the ridge lines to damp, muddy tracks near the lakeshores. There are no boardwalks or paved promenades once you leave the immediate vicinity of Łagów; instead, you will follow narrow, dirt footpaths that require steady footing due to the slope and occasional fallen timber.
