The best hiking routes in West Pomeranian Voivodeship

West Pomeranian Voivodeship offers a flat to gently rolling landscape shaped by glacial retreat, where your choice of walk depends on whether you prefer coastal cliffs, dense forests, or river floodplains. There are no high peaks or deep valleys here. Instead, the terrain is defined by sandy soils, peat bogs, and post-glacial lakes. Underfoot, you will mostly encounter soft pine needles, sandy forest tracks, and occasional wooden boardwalks over wetter ground.

For dramatic coastal terrain, Woliński Park Narodowy on the Baltic coast features steep clay cliffs and beech forests that terminate abruptly at the water. Drawieński Park Narodowy and the nearby Drawski Park Krajobrazowy present a labyrinth of clear lakes and fast-flowing rivers cutting through thick pine and oak forests, where the paths follow glacial channels.
