Uroczyska Puszczy Solskiej offers a distinct walking landscape dominated by flat, sandy pine forests and wide peat bogs. Unlike the rugged hills of southern Poland, this nature reserve is characterized by its gentle, almost imperceptible gradients. The terrain is shaped by the Tanew and Sopot river basins, where the sandy forest floor abruptly transitions into wet, marshy depressions. Walkers will notice how the dry, needle-covered paths underfoot give way to damp peat soils as the tree canopy thins out.

Navigating this reserve requires a choice between two distinct ground types. The higher ground features dry, loose sand tracks that can make walking slow, while the lower, boggy sections are accessible via wooden boardwalks or muddy, waterlogged trails.
