Parc naturel Cœur de Condroz is characterized by its distinctive landscape of parallel sandstone ridges and limestone depressions, known locally as tige and chavée. Walkers will notice this alternating pattern underfoot, where dry, sandy paths along the wooded ridges give way to heavy, clay-rich soils in the agricultural valleys. The area does not offer dramatic mountain peaks or deep gorges, but rather a rhythmic, rolling terrain of farmland, pastures, and deciduous woods.

Water plays a visible role in shaping the paths here.
