NP Podyjí - klidové území represents the strictly protected core zone of the Dyje canyon, where the landscape is defined by a deep, winding river valley cutting through the Bohemian Massif. Unlike the flatter agricultural plains surrounding it, this zone is characterized by steep, rocky slopes, dense deciduous forests, and exposed scree fields. The terrain is rugged, meaning paths often transition from narrow, stony dirt tracks along the hillsides to damp, alluvial soil closer to the riverbed.
