What does and doesn't work with offline routes?
Functionality when offline
This works offline:
- Viewing the map and navigating the route
- Viewing the elevation profile
- Reading route information (distance, difficulty, description)
- Junction information (if saved)
- Route deviation detection (if previously set up)
This doesn't work offline:
- Reading or posting reviews
- Viewing or uploading photos
- Marking a route as favorite or completed
- Downloading GPX files
- Weather information
- Points of interest and restaurants/accommodations on the map
- Live location sharing
- Recording a hike (this always needs GPS, but not necessarily internet)
