Does the app keep recording when I turn off my phone?
Recording with the screen off
The WandelWeb app continues to record your route, even when you're not actively using your phone:
- The screen can be off
- You can use other apps
- You can even close the WandelWeb app completely — the recording continues
If you turn off your phone completely (for example because your battery is dead), the recording will temporarily pause. As soon as you turn your phone back on, the app automatically picks up where it left off.
The only way to actually stop the recording is by tapping "Stop recording" in the app.
Tip: Make sure your phone has enough battery before starting. GPS usage can consume quite a bit of energy!
