Park Krajobrazowy Dolina Baryczy is a vast, flat basin defined by centuries of traditional fish farming and the slow flow of the Barycz River. Unlike the dry pine forests of neighboring regions, this landscape is dominated by hundreds of shallow, man-made carp ponds, wide reed beds, and damp oak-hornbeam woodlands. Walkers will find a terrain shaped entirely by water management, where massive earthen dikes double as elevated paths separating the open water from marshy meadows.
